How far in advance should I book?

Four to eight weeks for peak summer dates, and as much as three months ahead for August weekends. Shoulder-season weekdays in March, April, October and November can often be booked within a week.

How do I hold a date?

Send a request through the contact form or call. We confirm availability, then a 30% deposit locks the date. The balance is due on the dock.

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Cancel more than 14 days before your trip for a full deposit refund. Inside 14 days the deposit transfers to another date in the same season. If we cancel for weather or safety, you get a full refund or a reschedule.

Do I need a fishing licence?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but we handle it. Your freshwater or tidal licence and any required sturgeon conservation tag are included in the charter price and arranged before you arrive.

Can I keep the fish I catch?

Accepted Answer

Salmon, yes, within current DFO limits — we clean, bag and ice your fish. Sturgeon, no. White sturgeon on the Fraser are strictly catch-and-release and are never removed from the water.

What if a fishery is closed on my date?

Accepted Answer

Openings change through the season. If your target species closes, we move you to the next best fishery on the same date at the same price, or reschedule at no cost.

What should I bring?

Layered clothing, a warm jacket even in July, non-marking closed shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, lunch and snacks, and a camera. We supply rain gear, floatation and all fishing equipment.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We fish in rain — this is the coast. We do not fish in unsafe wind, lightning or dangerous river conditions. Your guide makes that call by 6pm the evening before where possible, and you get a full refund or a reschedule.

Can I bring kids?

Absolutely. Salmon half-days suit younger children best. Sturgeon trips work well from about eight years old with an adult helping on the rod. Child-sized floatation is on board.

Is there a washroom on the boat?

Our full-day boats carry an enclosed marine head. On half-day trips we are never far from a facility at the launch.

How many people fit on one boat?

Accepted Answer

Three anglers on sturgeon trips and four on salmon trips, plus your guide. Larger groups run on two or three boats fishing together.
